Take 20 Minutes Each Day To Read Through God's Word In 2025!
Join us as we “Take 20" minutes a day (or so) to read through the Bible in one year!
For 2025, we will be reading through the Old Testament in a modified chronological order, with most of the Prophetic books being read in the approximate time period they were written. We will read through the New Testament in its Biblical order.
This means that each day, you will be reading a few chapters in the Old Testament; and each week day, you will be reading a single chapter in the New Testament. The book of Psalms will be reserved for the Lord’s Day, to help focus our minds and hearts for worship each Sunday!
Remember to meditate on God’s Word as you read it, perhaps even as George Whitefield once did: “I began to read the Holy Scriptures upon my knees, laying aside all other books, and praying over, if possible, every line and word. This proved meat indeed and drink indeed to my soul. I daily received fresh life, light and power from above!”
Also, as we explore the theme of God's faithfulness this year, we will provide links to Charles Spurgeon's daily devotional - "Faith's Checkbook" - where, each day, a new promise is highlighted for Christians to trust! These devotions are also available in downloadable and print formats.
We trust that the Lord will bless the reading of His Word to your heart this year, more than ever before, as you “let the word of Christ dwell in you richly!” (Colossians 3:16)
