ABOUT THE CHURCH
ABOUT BAPTISM
- Every word of the Bible was originally inspired by God.
- Everything in the Bible is the truth and without error.
- The Bible is to be the supreme standard and guide for our lives.
ABOUT GOD
- There is only one true and living God, the creator and ruler of heaven & earth.
- In the unity of the Godhead, there are three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (the Trinity).
- God is completely righteous and holy, and sets the standards for all of His creation.
ABOUT JESUS
- Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.
- Jesus was miraculously born into this world of Mary, a virgin, and is God manifest in the flesh.
- Jesus is the only one who can save sinners, through His life, death, burial, resurrection and ascension into heaven.
- Everything was created, including man, by the direct act of God and not by evolution.
- We accept the Genesis account of creation as an accurate & literal description of the beginning of the "heavens and the earth."
ABOUT MAN
- Man, though created innocent, chose to rebel against God, and received death as the just judgement for sin.
- All people inherit a sin nature from Adam, yet are also personally guilty of their own sin against God.
- There is nothing a person can do to clear himself from the guilt of his sin, except believe in the Gospel!
ABOUT SALVATION
- God, through His own grace and mercy, sent Jesus into this world "to seek and to save" sinners.
- Jesus came to be our substitute. He fulfilled all righteousness with His life; He made a full atonement for sin by His death.
- Salvation comes by faith alone in the finished work of Jesus Christ alone, who rose from the dead and is alive forevermore.
ABOUT THE CHURCH
- The local church is an assembly of like-minded believers who come together for worship, fellowship, and service.
- The local church is to be led by Elders and served by Deacons, all meeting their Biblical qualifications.
- The local church maintains the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
ABOUT BAPTISM
- Baptism is a personal act of obedience to the Lord for a Christian.
- Baptism is immersion of a believer in water, and is an emblem of one's faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Baptism is not a necessary condition to receive forgiveness for your sin. The only condition of salvation is faith.
